从上方看，尾羽的末端黑色横带的确与上方颜色淡一点的地方形成对比，虽然这个对比不是非常显著（有可能四声杜鹃并非总是有明显的暗色次端带）。
There is certainly a contrast between the blacker tail tip and subtly paler remainder of tail when viewed from above , though this contrast is not striking ( and perhaps often isn 't anyway ) .
