As the main field type of soil erosion in the three gorges reservoir area , the sloping fields shall easily runoff totally or form skeleton soil which shall result in declining productivity of land .

The test results show the following order of soil types as regard to the soluble fluorine contents from high to low : Shajiang dark soil , Yellow brown earth and Purple soil , Paddy soil , Limy soil .
